Here's what ***you'll*** do to help us.
Step One
Content Collection
This is where we gather everything you have for your website—[text](https://www.ericrounds.com/using-google-drive-for-your-website-content/), [images](https://www.ericrounds.com/5-top-tools-and-apps-to-use-to-edit-images-on-wordpress-websites/), [documents](https://www.ericrounds.com/how-to-organize-and-prepare-website-content/), videos, or anything else you want to include.
We need to know what’s staying, what’s changing, and what’s missing to get the full picture.
**What You Can Do:**
- Gather all content and upload it to a Google Drive folder (we’ll set it up for you).
- If you’re unsure what to include, just send what you have, and we’ll guide you on the rest.
Step Two
Content Update
Here’s where you tell us what needs to stay, go, or be rewritten. If new content is needed, this is the time to create or provide it.
Your insight helps ensure the content is accurate, up-to-date, and fits your goals.
**What You Can Do:**
- Review the content outline we provide and mark items as “Keep,” “Remove,” “Change,” or “Add.”
- Provide any new content directly in the Google Drive folder we’ve set up for you. For videos, paste links in the document where you want them placed.
- Pro Tip: Focus on one section at a time—it’s less overwhelming that way.
Step Three
Optimize/Organize
We take your content and organize it into the most logical structure for your site. This might involve moving things around or restructuring based on website analytics and best practices.
Well-organized content helps visitors find what they need easily, which means better engagement and results for your site.
**What We’ll Do:**
- Group similar content into sections and pages.
- Adjust the site structure based on analytics (e.g., prioritizing pages visitors use most).
- Ensure everything is prepped for SEO optimization.
Step Four
Content Refinement
We review the content to make sure it’s clear, professional, and aligned with your brand’s voice.
Polished content leaves a lasting impression and builds trust with your audience.
**What We’ll Do:**
-
Fine-tune text for grammar, readability, and tone.
-
Check for consistency in style and formatting.
-
Highlight areas needing clarification for your review.
-
Ensure everything is prepped for SEO optimization.
**What You Can Do:** -
Read through and add comments to any areas that don’t feel quite right. (Please use the comment feature instead of typing in the text directly.)
-
We’ll hop on a quick call if needed to go over your feedback.
-
To keep things moving forward, we support 2-rounds of edits. This keeps the process tight and efficient.
Step Five
SEO Optimization
Now we make sure your content is search engine-friendly so people can find your website easily.
Good SEO brings more visitors to your site and helps you rank higher in search results.
**What We’ll Do:**
- Add keywords and metadata to your content.
- Ensure titles, headings, and links are optimized for search engines.
- Make sure your site loads quickly and is mobile-friendly.
Step Six
Final Content Review
We’re almost done! This is your chance to look at the polished, organized, and optimized content before it goes live.
Your approval ensures everything looks and feels right for your business.
**What You Can Do:**
- Take one last look at the content and provide any final feedback.
- Once approved, we’ll move everything into the final website design.
