5 Must-Haves For Any Business Brand

“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” ― Abraham Lincoln

Here are 5 Must-Haves for any business brand, either starting up or re-branding.

If your business or company wants to be found online, here are 5 must-haves for any business brand, regardless of industry, size, or style. This list might grow in requirements, but it’s a great start. So, before you jump in with your brand… follow this checklist.

5 Must-Haves for any business brand

Domain Name

Your business and online links need to have a consistent name. This will also be part of your brand. For example, if your medical practice specializes in reconstructive surgery, your domain name and social media accounts (@username) should all be the same like @reconstructivebeauty and reconstructivebeauty.com

Website & Secure Certificate

Since 2018, Google will no longer index your site if you have a contact form on your site without a secure certificate installed. Once you get your hosting (I highly recommend SiteGround for your hosting accountGoDaddy is a NO-NO for hosting) then follow through with the SSL Certificate

Secure Contact Form

Placing your email address on your site is not only an invitation for spam and junk emails, it’s also unprofessional. Having a contact form supports a more secure contact with your site visitor as well as allows you to help suggest a subject and ask specific questions to help field the initial communication needs.

Analytics

We no longer use “website counters”. Instead, a good developer can get a lot more valuable information from your site visitors (such as geolocation, platform, language, age, and other marketing metrics) using an analytic service.  Google Analytics is the juggernaut for search engines, and others like Adobe Analytics offer their own strengths.

Content

There is no need for anyone to see your site if you are not offering content. No matter if this is a one-page website or traffic funnel… you need to have something on your site for your site visitors. Gathering your content can be as easy as editing our images, or putting together multiple pages with content management.
